Whether you're dreaming big or focusing on smaller milestones, having a clear plan makes all the difference. Let’s talk about how to crush your goals using the Atomic Habits approach and

 

SMART goals.

Why Goals Work Best When They're SMART

The best goals are more than wishful thinking—they're specific and actionable. That’s where the SMART framework comes in:

  • Specific: What exactly do you want to achieve?

  • Measurable: How will you track your progress?

  • Achievable: Is this realistic given your resources?

  • Relevant: Does this align with your passion and purpose?

  • Time-Bound: When will you achieve this?

For example, if your goal is to lose 30–40 pounds in 2025, here’s how to break it down:

  • S: Lose 30–40 pounds by focusing on nutrition, exercise, and mindset.

  • M: Track weight loss weekly using a scale and progress photos.

  • A: Commit to 3-4 workouts per week and meal prep on Sundays.

  • R: Focus on improved energy, health, and confidence as motivation.

  • T: Set a timeline of 10 months to lose the weight, aiming for 3-4 pounds per month.

Take Action, Even Messy Action

  3. Focus on one nutrition goal at a time, like reducing sugar or adding more veggies.

  4. Track progress and celebrate milestones, even small ones like losing the first 5 pounds!

Remember, progress doesn’t have to be perfect. What matters is that you’re consistently moving toward your goal!
